CABERNET SAUVIGNON je pomembna sorta na posestvu Jamšek. Domovina caberneta sauvignona je francoski Bordeaux ob obali Atlantika. Ob primernih letnikih, bogatih s soncem ter dolgimi in suhimi jesenskimi dnevi, na našem posestvu iz zdravega, dozorelega grozdja pridelamo rdeče vino, ki izkazuje izjemne organoleptične lastnosti. Klasična rubinasta barva vina z lahkotnim vijoličastim odtenkom že sama po sebi razodeva zapeljivo cvetico svežega črnega ribeza, sliv in drugih temnih gozdnih sadežev in vijolice. Tanini so zaznavni in lepo zreli. Rahlo zaznavna so tudi zelišča, evkaliptus. Okus pa nam razkriva maline in temno češnjo. Vino je sveže, vendar zelo prijetno, mehko in pitno – vino z izredno lepim pookusom. Cabernet sauvignon maceriramo od 10 do 14 dni, nato pa ga zorimo eno leto v hrastovih sodih, zato vino izraža tudi kavne, vaniljeve in lesne note cedre. Bogato, prijetno, mehko in pitno vino z izredno lepim pookusom.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON is an important variety of the Jamsek Estate. In suitable sunny years with long and dry autumn days, a wine producer can create deeply coloured wines from the grapes of this variety, with lots of tannins, high acids and a strong aroma. The colour of wine is classic ruby with a light garnet shade; bouquet is fresh reminding of black currant, plums and other dark forest fruits. Herbs are also noticeable, like eucalyptus with blossom smell of violet. The pallet reveals raspberries and dark cherries. Tannins are detected and beautifully matured. It is fresh, yet very pleasant, soft and palatable. At the Jamsek Wine Estate, Cabernet sauvignon is macerated for 10–14 days and aged for one year in oak barrels. This is the reason why this wine also expresses coffee, vanilla and wooden notes of cedar. Rich in body, with beautiful aftertaste.
