PINELA je bila leta 1932 v publikaciji Agrarnega inštituta iz Gorice opisana kot krajevna sorta, ki je razširjena predvsem po gričih Vipavske doline. To potrjuje tudi Vertovec v svoji knjigi Vinoreja iz leta 1844. Vipavci pinelo obožujemo, ker je odlična izbira za vsakdanjo rabo, saj se odlično poda ob različni hrani. Barva vina je limonasto rumena z odtenki zelene. Pinela je sorta s poudarjeno sadnostjo okusa in vonja, spada pa med manj aromatične sorte. Vonj spominja na breskev in hruško, lahko pa v njem zaznamo tudi vonj grenivke. S tehnologijo fermentacije pri nizkih temperaturah je v vinu mogoče ohraniti prijeten vonj, ki ga je mogoče zaznati takoj po odprtju steklenice.

PINELA is a wine exclusive to the Vipava valley and cannot be found anywhere else! In 1932, Pinela was described in the Agrarian Institute of Gorizia journal as “the king of wines from the Vipava valley”. This was also noted in the Matija Vertovec’s book “Vinorej” back in 1844. Pinela has a very distinct fruity flavour with less aromatic flavour. There is a whiff of peach or pear, but a discerning palate can also detect grapefruit. With its fruity taste and freshness, Pinela is recommended as an everyday wine and it goes very well with fish. Fermentation at cool temperatures ensures the wine preserves its intense aroma, pleasing your nose from the very moment a bottle is uncorked.
